INTRODUCING

50% of the Strength of Steel at 15% of the Weight

Recycled Carbon Fiber & Recycled Nylon

FiberX2 was designed to leverage a growing recycled Carbon Fiber (CF) supply in order to create an engineered compound with the benefits of CF and cost savings of recycled material. Adding recycled polymer (Nylon) increased this advantage.

CF sourcing is wide ranging, and usable fibers for optimal compounding have been secured.

The finished product uses two recycled feed streams while maintaining 80% strength of a Prime/Prime product.

Benefits of Using FiberX2

  • Carbon fibers are used to increase the strength and stiffness of a base polymer.

  • Resulting CFRP materials are very strong and lightweight.

  • Tensile and modulus values can be comparable to Aluminum at half the weight.

  • Applications include Aerospace, Automotive, Bicycle Frames, and Sailboats where balancing strength and stiffness with density are important.

Potential Automotive Applications for FiberX2

  • Mirror Brackets

  • Fuel (or Charge Door) Goosenecks

  • Front End Module Brackets

  • Grille Opening Retainers (GOR)

  • Cross Car Beam

  • Battery Trays
